Kidepo is one of the few parks in Uganda where you can do a walking safari. The park is a completely different place when you are removed from the constraints of a safari vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Your senses are aware of every sound and movement in the bush and you see things at ground level that you would otherwise miss. With an expert ranger guide, you will also learn a lot about the inhabitants of the park and how to recognize their tracks.<\/p>\n<p>After this exciting and very rewarding activity, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. We will stop in Fort Portal town near the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains to enjoy lunch before we carry on to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tulambule.com\/kibale-forest-national-park\/\"><strong>Kibale Forest<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After your long drive, you might want to stretch your legs by going for a wander around the area. But I guarantee it\u2019ll be one of the most memorable hours of your life.<\/p>\n<p>If you have time, in the afternoon or evening a local guide can take you to visit one of Bwindi\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tulambule.com\/batwa-cultural-experience\/\"><strong>Batwa<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0villages. The Batwa People used to live a traditional hunter-gatherer life inside the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest until the national park was created and they were kicked out.<\/p>\n<p>Now they live around the edges of the park and earn money by welcoming tourists and demonstrating their ancient traditions. A visit is a great way to learn all about them and help support the community.
