The 3 days ultimate outdoor adventure tour to eastern Uganda is the perfect short trip to book for the adrenaline junkies and lovers of the outdoors.

The trip takes you to eastern Uganda that is well known to be the home of adventures in Uganda and you shall visit a number of interesting sites and indulge in a variety of thrilling experiences.

After setting off from Kampala on the way to the East you shall have your first adventure in Mabira forest which is the biggest forest in Central Uganda and is home to several wildlife species such monkeys and birds.

You will then continue to Jinja which is home to the source of the River Nile that offers world class water rafting and several other adventures. And then farther ahead youÔÇÖll visit the Sipi Falls in the foothills of Mount Elgon, arguably the most beautiful waterfalls in Uganda and offer some of the best hiking experience.

Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala ÔÇô Sezibwa Falls Hike, Nature Walk & Zip Lining in Mabira Forest ÔÇô boat ride at the Source of the Nile.

Your 3 Days Ultimate Outdoor Adventure Tour to Eastern Uganda begins at 6.00 am. Our tour driver guide shall pick you up from the hotel in Kampala and embark on a drive of about 2 hour east to Jinja.

After about 40 minutes youÔÇÖll arrive at Sezibwa Falls.Have 1 hour walk at these cultural grounds and enjoy the beautiful waterfalls, lush scenery and observe some wildlife including birds, butterflies, monkeys, etc.

After the Sezibwa tour get back on the road and continue to Mabira forest for yet another exciting nature experience.  Set out on a 2 hour  nature walk into the forest reserve and enjoy an up-close encounter with an array of wildlife including monkeys, birds, trees, butterflies, etc.

After a beautiful hike under the trees of about 2 hours you will now take on the Canopy Super Skyway zip-line adventure high up in tree tops. YouÔÇÖll cruise through trees and feel like a monkey ÔÇô it is quite a thrill! 

The zip-line gives you access to the inhabitants of the forest canopy such as monkeys and birds which are not easy to see from the ground.

After the Mabira forest tour get back on the road and drive to Jinja for your lunch. YouÔÇÖll then transfer to the Source of the Nile for a 1 hour boat ride on the Nile to Source of the Nile monument, enjoy nice views across Lake Victoria and observe plenty of water birds and other wildlife.

Thereafter you shall wind up the day with relaxation at the lodge.

Day 2: Visit Sipi for the Sipi Falls Hike & Abseiling adventure

After early breakfast, leave the adventure capital behind and travel farther east to the Sipi Falls in the foothills of Mt Elgon in Kapchorwa District near the border with Kenya. Meet the local site guide and set out to hike the Sipi Falls trail.

The Sipi Falls consists of a set of three beautiful waterfalls at different spots where the Sipi River flows over big cliffs towards the base of the Mountain Elgon. They measure 85m, 65m and 99m long.

The hiking trail goes through local communities, coffee plantations and farmlands. As you hike along youÔÇÖll be treated to panoramic views of green mountain slopes and the distant flat plains of Karamoja.

YouÔÇÖll hike up to start with the topmost waterfall (85m), and then follow the trail down to visit the second waterfall (65m). After these first two waterfalls, youÔÇÖll break off for lunch at a nearby lodge and refresh a little.

After that youÔÇÖll descend to the last waterfall of 99m, which is also the main waterfall. It forms a big whirlpool, a natural swimming pool, as is commonly referred to since you can dive in for a swim in the cold water.

The climax of the Sipi adventure is Abseiling down this high cliff, 5 meters close to the roaring waterfall. It is such an adrenaline adventure!

The abseiling equipment is in place and a professional guide is available to guide you through this thrilling experience which is not available anywhere else in Uganda except Sipi! You will return from Sipi Falls and travel back to Jinja for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Rafting At Itanda ÔÇô Kampala

The best is saved for the last and so today is dedicated to conquering the raging rapids of the Nile River. After breakfast, youÔÇÖll checkout and transfer to Itanda Falls, a world class destination for whitewater rafting.

Itanda has up to 9 rapids along a stretch of over 20km, and moreover 4 of those rapids are grade 5! You get to have lunch in between and at the end of the adventure, drive back to Kampala, arriving in the evening.
