You can book or customize this 2 Days Lake Mburo Wildlife, Boat Cruise, & Walking Safari and explore one of most beautiful wildlife game parks in Uganda. Situated about 3-4 hour drive from Kampala, Lake Mburo National Park is the closest national park to the capital city of Uganda.

At 260km² (100 miles²) it is also the smallest savannah game park in the country and lies on ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks that date back more than 500 million years. In spite of the small size, Lake Mburo National Park’s great mix habitats make for a wide range of mammals and birds.

And its tranquil atmosphere and soothing views provide perfect opportunity for relaxation. The park offers wildlife game drives, horseback safaris, boat cruises, game walking safaris, bird watching tours, and cycling tours.

These activities allow you closer viewing and exceptional photographs of abundant plains game such as zebra, giraffe, buffalo, Hippos, Crocodiles, and antelopes.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Travel to Lake Mburo, Game Drive & Boat Ride

Your 2 Days Lake Mburo Wildlife, Boat Cruise, & Walking Safari starts at 7 am. Your tour driver will pick you up from your place of stay in Kampala or Entebbe and drive off to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda.

This will be a drive of approximately 3-4 hours (240km).

Upon arrival at the park, you will check into your pre-booked accommodation/lodge and go out for a short game drive and explore the lush savannah and acacia woodlands to spot a number of wildlife.

You will then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will have some time to rest and later go for the boat cruise on Lake Mburo that will expose to more wildlife and amazing scenery!

Optional: Night Game Drive: You can go out for a night safari in the park to see the nocturnal species. Predators like hyenas and leopards are most active at this time and chances of seeing them are high.
