Our Dubai holiday packages from Uganda take care of everything: return flights from Entebbe, your UAE e-visa, hotel, airport transfers and tours. Add Dubai to the end of a gorilla trekking safari, or enjoy it as a holiday on its own. Uganda Airlines and Emirates fly direct from Entebbe to Dubai in about five hours, and our Kampala team handles every step.

The Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building, rising 828 metres above Downtown Dubai. Its “At the Top” decks on levels 124 and 125 give 360-degree views over the city, the sea and the desert, while “At the Top Sky” on level 148 offers an even higher, more exclusive experience.
Sunset is the most popular time to visit, so we book tickets early for our guests. At the foot of the tower, the Dubai Fountain dances to music every evening, and Dubai Mall is right next door. A Burj Khalifa visit is included in our 6 Days Dubai Holiday Package and 7 Days Dubai Honeymoon.

The sail-shaped Burj Al Arab is Dubai’s most famous hotel, standing on its own island off Jumeirah Beach. Its tall white sail is one of the most photographed sights in the city, especially at sunset.
Most visitors enjoy it from outside: our Dubai city tour stops for photos at Jumeirah Public Beach, with the best views across the water. Guests who want to step inside can book afternoon tea or dinner at one of its restaurants, which needs a reservation in advance. It makes a memorable treat on our 7 Days Dubai Honeymoon.

Dubai Miracle Garden is one of the largest natural flower gardens in the world, with tens of millions of flowers shaped into hearts, castles, arches and even a full-size Emirates A380 aircraft, a design that earned a Guinness World Record.
It is a favourite with families, couples and photographers. The garden opens only in the cooler months, usually from about November to May, and closes for the summer. Plan a late afternoon visit, when the light is softer and the flowers look their best. We can add it as an optional trip on any of our Dubai holiday packages.
Dubai Mall is one of the largest shopping centres in the world, with well over a thousand shops, from global fashion brands to electronics, jewellery and souvenirs. Beyond shopping, it has the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, an Olympic-size ice rink, a huge food court and direct access to the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain.
For a more traditional experience, bargain for gold, spices and perfume at the souks of Deira. The best deals come during the Dubai Shopping Festival, usually from mid-December to mid-January. Visitors can also claim back VAT on many purchases at the airport, so keep your receipts. Check your airline’s baggage allowance before you shop.
The Museum of the Future is one of Dubai’s most striking buildings, a silver ring covered in Arabic calligraphy beside Sheikh Zayed Road. Inside, interactive floors take you on a journey into space travel, nature and wellness as they might look decades from now.
It is a favourite with families and couples, and tickets are timed, so we book them in advance. Allow about two hours for your visit. A Museum of the Future visit is included in our 7 Days Dubai Honeymoon.
Deira is the oldest trading district in Dubai, on the north bank of Dubai Creek. Cross the creek on a traditional wooden abra boat for just a few dirhams, a short ride that shows you the city as it was before the skyscrapers.
Wander the Gold Souk, where shop windows glitter with necklaces, rings and bangles, then follow your nose to the Spice Souk, piled high with saffron, cardamom, frankincense and dried limes. Bargaining is expected, so start at about half the first price and smile. Evenings are the liveliest and coolest time to visit.
On the other side of the creek, the Al Fahidi Historical District has narrow lanes, wind towers, art galleries and small cafes. Our Dubai city tour includes the abra ride and the souks, as part of our 6 Days Dubai Holiday Package.
The white stone Jumeirah Mosque, built in the medieval Fatimid style, is one of the most photographed mosques in Dubai and looks especially beautiful when lit up at dusk.
Guided visits for non-Muslims have traditionally been run by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, but opening times can change, so we confirm before your trip. Modest dress is required: long sleeves and long trousers or skirts, and a headscarf for women. Our Dubai city tour stops here for photos.
The Dubai Frame is a giant golden picture frame about 150 metres tall in Zabeel Park, standing between old and new Dubai. Look one way for the low-rise historic districts and the other for the towers of Sheikh Zayed Road.
A gallery at ground level tells the story of Dubai’s past. A lift then takes you to the glass-floored bridge at the top for views of the present, before a final gallery imagines the city decades from now. Allow about an hour, and visit late afternoon for the best light.
The Al Shindagha Museum, on the banks of Dubai Creek, tells the story of how a small fishing and pearl-diving settlement grew into a global city. Walk through restored traditional houses with interactive displays on the creek, pearl diving, trade and family life, and don’t miss the Perfume House, dedicated to Arabian fragrances.
It is a short abra ride from the Gold and Spice Souks, so it fits easily into a day exploring Old Dubai.
A desert safari is one of the most loved things to do in Dubai, and a highlight for families, couples and groups of friends. Just 45 minutes from the city, the red sand dunes of the Arabian Desert stretch to the horizon. Choose an evening, overnight or morning safari, depending on your plans.
The evening desert safari is the most popular choice. A 4x4 collects you from your hotel in the afternoon and drives you into the desert for an exciting dune drive over the sand, a ride our guests never forget.
At the desert camp, try sandboarding, a short camel ride, quad biking at extra cost, henna painting and photos with a falcon. Watch the sun set over the dunes, then enjoy a BBQ buffet dinner with vegetarian and meat options, followed by Tanoura and fire shows under the stars.
The tour lasts about six hours, and you are back at your hotel by about 9 pm. It is included in our 6 Days Dubai Holiday Package and 7 Days Dubai Honeymoon.
For something truly special, spend a night in the desert. The overnight safari starts like the evening tour, with a hotel pick-up in a 4x4 and a thrilling dune drive, then continues to a traditional desert camp with Arabic majlis seating, carpets and lanterns.
Watch the sunset, try sandboarding and a camel ride, and enjoy a BBQ buffet dinner with live shows, including Tanoura dancing and a fire show. Soft drinks, tea and water are included throughout the evening.
When the crowds leave, the desert falls silent under a sky full of stars. Sleep in a tent or under the open sky, wake up to a desert sunrise, enjoy breakfast at the camp, and return to your hotel by mid-morning. It makes a memorable add-on to our 7 Days Dubai Honeymoon.
The morning desert safari suits early risers and photographers who want the desert at its calmest. Your guide collects you from your hotel at dawn in a 4x4, in time to watch the sun rise over the dunes, when the light is soft and golden.
Enjoy a dune drive, then try sandboarding and a short camel ride, with quad biking available at extra cost. Your guide will point out desert wildlife such as Arabian oryx and gazelles, and explain how they survive in the heat.
Finish with breakfast in the desert before heading back to your hotel by late morning, leaving the rest of the day free for shopping or the beach. It is a good choice in the hotter months, from May to September, when evenings in the desert can be very warm.
Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or proposal in Dubai? Turn your evening desert safari into a surprise your loved one will never forget. We arrange a private table at the desert camp, a birthday cake, decorations and a special announcement during the evening show.
Add extras such as a private dinner setting under the stars, flowers, a photographer to capture the moment, or a private 4x4 just for your group. Tell us the occasion and date when you book, and we will plan every detail with our partners in Dubai, so you only have to enjoy the surprise.
A dhow is a traditional wooden sailing boat that once carried pearls and spices across the Gulf. Today, beautifully lit dhows offer relaxing dinner cruises, with an upper open deck for views and an air-conditioned lower deck.
The two-hour Marina cruise glides past the glittering towers of Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence and the giant Ain Dubai wheel, while you enjoy an international buffet dinner, soft drinks and live entertainment. It is the most romantic evening in our 7 Days Dubai Honeymoon and is also included in our 6 Days Dubai Holiday Package.
For a taste of old Dubai, choose the Creek cruise. Your dhow sails along Dubai Creek between Deira and Bur Dubai, past the souks, wind towers, mosques and busy wooden trading boats that still carry goods across the Gulf.
Enjoy a buffet dinner on board while a Tanoura dancer spins to traditional music, with the lights of the creek reflected on the water. The Creek cruise is usually a little more affordable than the Marina cruise and is a favourite with families.
IMG Worlds of Adventure is one of the biggest indoor theme parks in the world, and it is fully air-conditioned, so it is a great choice even in the hot summer months. Inside you will find themed zones for Marvel superheroes, Cartoon Network characters and a Lost Valley full of life-size dinosaurs.
There are thrill rides for teenagers and adults, gentle rides for small children, and plenty of places to eat. Plan a full day here. It is a favourite add-on for families on our 6 Days Dubai Holiday Package.
Inside Dubai Mall, the Dubai Aquarium holds thousands of sea creatures, including sharks and rays, behind a giant glass wall that you can see for free from the mall. Buy a ticket to walk through the underwater tunnel, where fish swim over your head.
Upstairs, the Underwater Zoo has penguins, otters and a large crocodile. For more adventure, add a glass-bottom boat ride or, for certified divers, a dive with the sharks. It is easy to combine with a visit to the Burj Khalifa next door.
The Dubai Fountain sits on the lake between Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. Every evening, its water jets dance to music and lights, with shows about every 30 minutes, and watching from the promenade is free.
For a closer view, take a short traditional abra boat ride on the lake during a show. Arrive a few minutes early to get a good spot, especially at weekends. It is one of the best free things to do in Dubai.
Inside the Atlantis The Palm resort, The Lost Chambers Aquarium is themed around the legend of the lost city of Atlantis. Walk through underground passages and chambers filled with tens of thousands of fish, sharks, rays and other sea creatures from around the world.
Children love the touch tank and the daily shows, while adults can book a behind-the-scenes tour or, for certified divers, a dive in the Ambassador Lagoon. It pairs perfectly with a day at Aquaventure next door.
Also at Atlantis The Palm, Aquaventure is one of the largest waterparks in the world, with over 100 slides and rides. Thrill seekers can race down near-vertical drops and ride the rapids, while younger children splash safely in dedicated kids' play areas.
The park also has a private beach and animal encounters with dolphins and sea lions at extra cost. Plan a full day, and book a hotel at Atlantis if you want free park access. Ask us to add Aquaventure to your Dubai holiday package.
Located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Dubai Parks and Resorts brings several theme parks together in one destination. MOTIONGATE Dubai has rides and zones based on famous Hollywood animated films, LEGOLAND Dubai is built for children aged about 2 to 12, and LEGOLAND Water Park adds slides and pools for young families.
Each park needs most of a day, so many families choose one or two parks, or buy a multi-park ticket. It is about 40 minutes' drive from central Dubai, and we can arrange tickets and transfers as part of your Dubai holiday package.
Wild Wadi is one of Dubai's best-loved waterparks, set on Jumeirah Beach right beside the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab. It is smaller and easier to explore than Aquaventure, which makes it a relaxed choice for families with children.
Enjoy fast slides and surf waves for the brave, plus a lazy river and play pools for gentler fun. Combine it with photos at the Burj Al Arab and an afternoon on nearby Kite Beach for a perfect family day.
Kite Beach is a long, clean stretch of white sand along Jumeirah, with lovely views of the Burj Al Arab. It is one of the most popular free beaches in Dubai, and it is perfect for active travellers who enjoy kitesurfing, beach volleyball, kayaking and paddleboarding.
The beach has showers, toilets and changing rooms, plus food trucks and cafés along the promenade. It gets busy on Fridays and weekends, so come early in the morning or late in the afternoon for the best experience.
Sunset Beach in Umm Suqeim is the best spot for photos with the Burj Al Arab as your backdrop, especially in the golden light before sunset. It is a wide, free public beach and a favourite with couples and photographers.
It is also one of the few places in Dubai with small waves, suitable for beginner surfers in the cooler months. You will find showers, toilets and changing rooms, and part of the beach is lit for evening swimming.
JBR Beach sits in front of Jumeirah Beach Residence and Dubai Marina, with soft sand, calm water and good facilities including toilets, showers and changing rooms. It is a great choice for families, with a splash area for children and an outdoor gym.
Right behind the beach, The Walk and The Beach shopping areas are full of restaurants, cafés and shops, so you never need to go far for a meal. Stay into the evening to enjoy the city lights over the Marina.
Al Mamzar Beach Park, near Deira, offers several sandy beaches inside a large, green park. It is a quieter option, ideal for families who want space to relax away from the busier beaches.
The park has playgrounds, picnic areas with barbecue spots, lawns, a swimming pool and cabanas to rent. There are only a few food outlets, so bring a picnic. A small entry fee applies.
Dubai rewards every kind of traveller. Whether you come for the shopping, the desert sunsets, the beaches or the theme parks, this city has a way of making you plan your next visit before you even leave.
