1. Kibale Lodge

2. Kyaninga Lodge
Kyaninga Lodge is one of the most photographed Kibale National Park lodges and among the best known in Uganda. Built from hand-carved logs on the rim of the deep blue Lake Kyaninga, just outside Fort Portal, it has spacious cottages linked by raised wooden walkways, including family cottages.
A sparkling pool, grass tennis court, croquet lawn and wellness room with sauna and massage make it ideal for a relaxing stay after chimp trekking. Kanyanchu is about an hour's drive.
3. Ndali Lodge

How Much Do Kibale National Park Lodges Cost?
Kibale National Park lodges cover a wide price range. As a rough guide for full board per person per night:
- Budget lodges and guesthouses: under about USD 100
- Mid-range lodges: about USD 120 to 300
- Luxury lodges: from about USD 330 to over USD 1,000
Rates vary by season and room type. Many lodges offer lower rates in April, May and November, which is also when low-season chimp permits are available at USD 200.

Tips for Your Stay in Kibale
- Pack for cool evenings: Kibale sits at 1,100 to 1,600 metres, so nights and early mornings can be chilly. Bring a fleece or warm jacket.
- Ask for a packed breakfast: if your trek starts at 8:00 am and you stay at a crater lake lodge, your lodge can prepare an early packed breakfast.
- Carry some cash: lodges near Bigodi have limited card facilities. Fort Portal has banks and ATMs.
- Expect rain: showers can fall in any month, so keep a rain jacket handy, even in the dry season.
- Stay two nights: one night is enough for a chimp trek, but two nights let you add the Bigodi swamp walk and a crater lakes hike without rushing.
