Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe to Kalangala Island. Depart Kampala or Entebbe in the morning for the drive to Bukakata or Entebbe ferry point, depending on your chosen crossing. Board the ferry across Lake Victoria to Kalangala, the main island of the Ssese archipelago, enjoying open water views and a genuine sense of leaving the mainland behind. Arrive at your island lodge in the afternoon, with the rest of the day free to settle in, relax on the beach, or take a short walk along the shoreline. Dinner and overnight at your lakeside lodge.
