Where Is Mihingo Lodge? Access and Location
Mihingo Lodge sits on the eastern side of Lake Mburo National Park, a short drive off the Kampala to Mbarara Highway. Most guests arrive by road from Kampala or Entebbe, a journey of about 4 to 5 hours with a stop at the Equator on the way. The lodge stands high on a ridge, so it is easy to spot as you approach.

Mihingo Lodge has about a dozen spacious tented rooms spread across the property. Some sit high on the kopje with sweeping views, some are tucked into the forest, and others face the waterhole, where animals come to drink throughout the day.
Each room is designed around its natural setting. The kopje rooms are built into the rocks, while the forest rooms use local timber. Rooms are individually furnished, with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, solar lighting and a private veranda for watching wildlife.
En-suite bathrooms have a flush toilet, washbasin and a shower with hot and cold running water. For the best wildlife viewing, ask for a room near the waterhole. The other rooms reward you with wide views over the park instead.
